Immigration Reform Is an Opportunity Congress Can’t Afford to Miss

Turning away hard-working immigrants - whether Dreamers or foreign-born entrepreneurs - comes at a cost. Ending DACA will cost the U.S. billions in economic output and more than 700,000 jobs.

Artificial caps on high-skilled visas and limits on permanent visas turn away thousands of immigrants. Forcing talented, foreign professionals – who likely got their STEM degrees from U.S. universities - to leave our country costs us more than 500,000 American jobs a year. It’s unacceptable to deport Dreamers brought to the U.S. as children, and doesn't make sense to send away foreign students with STEM degrees from American universities to our nation’s competitors.
